They have consistently demonstrated an ability to convey complex material in an informative and effective manner and have all earned Ph.D. or CFA® charter, FRM© certificate or the CVA©. Dr. Assem Safieddine is an associate professor of finance at AUB. He holds a Ph.D. in finance from Boston College, and has held faculty appointment at Michigan State University and visiting faculty appointment at Harvard University. His research has been published in leading finance journals like the Journal of Finance, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and has been profiled in the Business Week, Harvard Business Review, and the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Mr. Youssef Nizam is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Financial Risk Manager. He is an IT analyst at the Central Bank of Lebanon and a part-time instructor of Engineering Economy at the American University of Beirut. Mr. Nizam has won numerous teaching excellence awards at the institute.
